COMMISSION PROCESS
- Slots are granted through submitting an application for a posted Google Form.
- Commission slots aren't guaranteed and an acceptance from the Artist is at their discretion.
- Applicants who are granted a commission slot will be contacted through Discord or Twitter.
- Clients will be required to pay a $100 deposit fee once the Artist has accepted their commission.
- Please note that this deposit fee is non-refundable and is used/deducted towards the total cost.
- Payments will be created by Invoice, sent and paid via PayPal.
Payments will be divided into three total payments: $100 non-refundable deposit fee, half of the remaining cost upon completion of sketch, and remaining half upon completion of the model.
- Invoices are expected to be paid within 48 hours once the above mentioned payment timeline has been completed unless previously arranged between the Artist and Client.
- Payment plans can be discussed.
- Updates for the commission will be sent through Discord or Twitter directly from the artist to the Client through pictures or text.
- The Artist may reach out to clarify any uncertain portions of the commission for clarity throughout the commission.
- The commission is considered done once the final work has been delivered and client has given approval or if the client hasn’t replied within 48 hours.
COMMISSION TIMELINE
- Commissions will be delivered within 4 months of the Artist starting the commission. If the commission has a specific deadline, Clients are encouraged to inform the Artist.
- If a project has a deadline of less than 4 months, the order will be considered a rush order and additional fees will be incurred (See Additional Fees Below).
DEADLINE EXTENSIONS
Artist:
- If the artist ever fails to meet the deadline for the commission, she will be contacting the client as soon as possible to state the reason for an extension. (does not apply when delay is due to failure of communication from the Client)
- In this event, communication is key and the Artist and Client will discuss and reach a satisfactory outcome for both parties.
Client:
- If the Client ever fails to meet the deadline for the commission (feedback or payments). In the case of feedback, the commission will be paused and the Client will be responsible for the delay and will need to respond as soon as possible to state the reason for the delay.
- In the case of delayed payments, unless the Client and Artist agree to the extension, and additional fee will be charged for every day that the payment has failed to be completed (See Additional Fees Below).
ADDITIONAL FEES
The Client will be charged additional fees when:
- There are already too many revisions (See below for more info).
- The model has more expressions than what is offered as free.
- The commission is a rush order.
- The Client fails to make the scheduled payment.
For illustrations, the client will be sent updates during (a) the sketch phase, (b) base color phase, and (c) during rendering phase. The Artist will also send updates for how much work is done at their discretion. When are revisions free?
First and foremost, the Client is encouraged to provide any kind of feedback during the commission process to ensure that the model is of high quality. Minor revisions are free but there is a certain arbitrary threshold for the quantity of minor revisions. The Artist will make sure to inform the Client if their free revisions are almost up. Once the Artist has informed the client that they have used all of their free revisions, the Artist shall propose a price for additional minor revisions.
Major revisions before and after delivering the completed work are not free. For minor revisions after delivery of the final work, please consult with the Artist since it may be free (if the rigger needs specific separations, the Artist will complete those with no additional fees). The Client may also consult with the Artist to determine if the desired revision is considered minor or major. What are generally considered as major revisions?
- Change of clothes
- Additional outfits
- Changing aspects of the design past the sketch phase
- Additional expressions
- Change to more than 10% of the model's layers.
- Revising already done parts, with the exceptions of small preferences in rigging and mistakes made by the artist.
- If the revision you're thinking of isn't in this list, please consult the Artist.
CLIENT'S ROLE AND ETIQUETTE
- The Client is expected to check for mistakes and provide all of their feedback within 48 hours of receiving an update from the Artist. This is to help save time and make the commission process more efficient.
- When giving feedback, it is highly encouraged to be detailed and that desired corrections to be requested are final. This is to save time and ensure that all efforts are meaningful.
- Please do not micromanage the Artist.
- Please do not request the model to be done in another Artists style. It is expected by commissioning me that you want the model done in my style.
- Before opening a dispute and/or requesting a refund, communication privately will occur and an attempt to reach an amicable result will happen.
What type of feedback is not allowed?
- Requesting for changes that are out of control of the artist's skills and time.
- Micromanaging.
- Requesting a revision without clear ideas, proper references, and direction.
- Being too fickle about changes (ex. requesting for multiple changes and making the Artist undo/alter them more than five times.)
PRIVACY TERMS
- The Client’s / Payor’s and the Artist's legal name, country of origin, address and other personal details may be known to both parties during the commission process, specifically during payment.
- The Client / Payor and Artist agree to not share any personal information about both parties, unless it's for legal purposes like disputes and the Artist needing to provide proof of work.
